This is another beautiful set from the LEGO Harry Potter line. It is a very large set with 1,290 pieces and 11 minifigs. This is the LEGO Harry Potter set that I think all Harry Potter fans wish they could own. Let’s break down the numbers on this set:

Orignal MSRP: $129.99
Starting Bid: $0.99

UPDATE:

The auction sold with is a price of $270. That is just a little over double of the original price. It looks I should have invested in LEGO Harry Potter four years ago. I wonder if there any LEGO lines out right now that will soar in value so soon…

I wasn’t paying attention to the LEGO world for well over a decade and I am really sad about some of the sets that I missed out on. The saw this set on eBay and wish I would have bought it when it was new and reasonably priced.

Orignal MSRP: $149 (I doubt I would have bought it then either due to the price….)

UPDATE:
Auction Sell Price: $230.11

If you had invested the $149.99 in the S&P 500 you would roughly have $227 now. Looks like LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley is a better the better investment!
